The Mark Strama Less Sucky MySpace Challenge!

Posted by intrepid_intern on 2006.07.21 at 00:21
Okay, okay.

Since I have never gotten a response so overwhelming as the one I got from my "social networking" post, I decided I should actually visit our MySpace page and see what the big deal was. And, because I am never afraid to be the bearer of bad news, I took your comments and shared them with Sean, who is the man behind the multi-Capitol background. (I should mention that although I am not generally in favor of censorship, I did alter certain words, like "sucks," in the interests of not making Sean cry.) Sean then proceeded to throw up his hands in despair and resign his unofficial position as Chief MySpace Modifier, leaving me alone with a laptop and a whooooole lotta pictures of the Capitol.

But eventually, I managed to figure out how to change things up:

Is this any better? At all?

Still hard to read. Change the font size - make it bigger. The word blurbs HAS to go.

Talking of modifications, what about the media link on his website? The last media item is from December 2005. Is anyone going to modify that?
Hope he wins - he is the best!

MySpace Layout in General is Teh Suckage

Mark is sooooooooo cool, he doesn't need a background.

Very nice, indeed! Love the star, the colors, the fonts. Great work! Who did this?

Star? Not so much

But, then, I'm not a huge fan of backgrounds.

Re: Star? Not so much

Maybe so. Better than the capital, though. You do make a point abut the scrolling.

Re: Star? Not so much

Man, you know what I'd love to figure out how to do? Give the tables some opacity. There's just noooo differentiating them from the background now.

oh my God

Heres an idea: lets all stop bitching about the MySpace. Jesus, no wonder the Democratic Party is in such a sorry state in Texas: we spend to much time whining like assholes about petty things and less time making sure good Democrats like Mark win things. Pipe down and go work on a campaign... or at least shut up.
